New House And New Town

Hi all,

So I've been playing my 2 favorite families in the same town (on 2 different saves) for quite some time now. Their houses were quite similar as well, with the same color schemes and such. The time had come for a change of scenery. And I really like how my make-over of Myrtle Bungalow turned out, so I made it a little more kids friendly and added 2 bedrooms in the back. So now Atsumi & the gang are in a new house in a new town.

I've always wondered why people download this:

Do they really think this is a Sim? Clearly over 23,000 people thought so, and over 400 thought it was so well done they even gave it a rec...*facepalm*. I remembered that "Sim" when I came across this on the exchange tonight:

Over in GD Sgizzle09 had received some bad news about her grandma and wanted some cheering up. 

Fellow simmers started to show their sympathy and wishing her grandma a speedy recovery and so on. Except one. Mr. Always-On-Patrol-Thinking-He's-The-Shit himself, PsychoMasterX showed up with this remark:

Newsflash, a-hole: no one asked you to police the forums, so there really is no need for you to be on patrol. Not once have I seen this idiot utter a nice word to anyone. He even said on one of Bluebell's threads that we Mac users only had ourselves to blame for all the trouble with our games. Dude, you should ask Santa for a new attitude for Christmas. Or a new record, because your old one seems broken. I'm just saying.

You Will Be Missed, Wendy

I just heard the sad news that Wendy, also known as Hillcrest1414, passed away on December 8, 2011. She was a wonderful creator and a great Simmer, and she will be dearly missed.

Her wonderful houses are still available at Neighborly Sims.

Myrtle Bungalow Make-Over

Hello again,

I'd like to share my make-over of Myrtle Bungalow on 3 Song Avenue in Sunset Valley with you. It was the first house my first Sims bought when they had enough money to buy a new house. TS3 is my first Sims game and I was such a n00b back then in June '09. I didn't know about cheats and I had barely figured out the Create A style Tool. So my futile attempts to give this house a make-over back then was rather...pathetic. lol. Well, I've learned a lot since then. So I wanted to re-visit Myrtle Bungalow and give it the make-over I couldn't over 2 years ago. I kept the original floor plan, but the landscaping is quite different from the original. Anyhoo, I hope you like what I did to the old place!

Serial Uploader

Hello!

There is someone who has taken uploading to the exchange to a whole new level. I don't know whether to be amazed or appalled. Though I'm leaning heavily towards the latter. You see, this person has over 15 000 items in their studio:

And the number is rising fast, because every day this Serial Uploader uploads on average 5-6 pages of crap items. In addition to their own 3-4 different showcase threads on the forums, which are bumped frequently, they will also flood SimGuruHydra's stickied showcase thread several times a day. I always thought there was a limit to how much you could have in your studio. Clearly there isn't. And where is the culling in all of this? There are old uploads in that studio with just a couple of downloads. No wonder the exchange is clogged and glitched. I guess what I am trying to say is: STOP THE MADNESS! And also:

Oy ve, the farce continues. Origin will now let (unsuspecting) Mac users PAY for and DOWNLOAD Pets. Sounds fine and dandy, you may think. Oh, yeah it would be awesome if only Origin wasn't incompatible with Macs, and that said download wasn't for Windows only.

I usually hang out in the Creative Corner on the officials and I just came across this reply on a showcase thread:

Really, DarkAmaranth? So what you're saying is that people who have a lot of store items should refrain from using them in their uploads so that YOU can download them? Your reply really pisses me off, but I don't want to ruin this nice person's thread by starting a fight, so I'll give my opinion here instead. When I build something I use whatever store items and EP/SP's I have. Because that's why I bought them, you idiot. And don't think I didn't notice your (less than) subtle hint about your 205 items long wishlist. Pathetic.

What is that old saying? "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". You should remember that the next time a wave of bitterness comes over you, DarkAmaranth.
